Who we are
Tangal Secondary School is a community secondary school located at Bhim Bhawan, Tangal, Kathmandu-5 (Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward 5), Bagmati Province, Nepal. It was established in 2020 B.S. (1963 A.D.) to provide quality education to the children of the Tangal community and central Kathmandu.
The school runs Early Childhood Development (ECD), basic and secondary education for Grades 1 to 10, and a higher secondary (+2) programme for Grades 11 and 12 affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB). At +2 level we offer three streams: Management, Education and Humanities.
Every class follows a curriculum that pairs academic study with a Sustainable Development curriculum, reflecting the school’s commitment to responsibility, community service and lifelong learning.

As a community school, Tangal Secondary School exists to make strong, values-based education accessible to Kathmandu families. Our teachers and staff 35+ strong today work across ECD through Grade 12, giving students consistent, caring guidance from their first year of school to their +2 board examinations.
